Twins need wins and fast losing to teams like the White Sox will not fly if they want to go anywhere in the playoffs much less win the central division. Twins ace Berrios is on the mound look for him to shut down this hapless light hitting Tigers team.

Texas vs. Chicago, 08/23/2019 20:10 EDT

Money Line: -136 Texas

Sportsbook: Betonline

The Chicago White Sox claimed the opener of this series 6-1 Thursday night, but the visiting Texas Rangers look primed to bounce back with a win here Friday night.

Texas will have a massive edge on the mound with Lance Lynn (14-8, 3.60 ERA) opposing Dylan Cease (2-6, 5.93 ERA). While Lynn has posted a 2.65 ERA over his last three turns, Cease has gone 1-6 with an ugly 6.00 ERA over his past seven starts.

"He's been leaving pitches out over the plate a little bit more consistently," White Sox manager Rick Renteria said about Cease. "And this is the big leagues. Most of the guys are going to be able to consistently get the barrel to the baseball. It doesn't matter how hard you throw." Hard to argue with that, considering that Cease has served up 10 homers over 44 innings of work on the season.

Rangers are 6-2 in Lynns last 8 starts vs. a team with a losing record and 7-0 in Lynn's last 7 road starts.

Free Play from Doc’s Sports. #271 Take Houston Texans over Dallas Cowboys (7p.m., Saturday, August 24) The Cowboys had a long trip back from the Islands and expect them to be a little rusty in this game. Houston has averaged 29 points per game in their first two exhibition games and that should be good enough to win this game. Dallas is averaging just 11.5 points per game and they have issues with holdouts that could affect how long the starters play in this game. Take the visitor in this battle of Texas. Ottawa vs. Saskatchewan, 08/24/2019 19:00 EDT

Point Spread: +10½/-110 Ottawa

Sportsbook: Bookmaker

Saskatchewan is having a good season, winning 4 in a row and well Ottawa is not as they have now lost 6 of their L/7 overall. Tonight because of the direction and path both teams are on we get to bet into a recency bias line, that is bloated according to my power rankings charts. Despite the RedBlacks below .500 record at 3-6 Campbells troops are a hard working blue collar group that never say die and deserve my respect on a DD underdog line. Note: Ottawa has covered 14 of their L/19 as a road underdog over the last 3 seasons.

Ottawa has won and covered their L/2 visits to the Parairies and get my support here again in this spot.

SASKATCHEWAN is 4-13 ATS in home games after having won 4 out of their last 5 games since 1996.

CFL Favorites (SASKATCHEWAN) - after 3 or more consecutive straight up wins, good team, winning 60-75% or more of their games on the season are just 43-81 ATS L/22 seasons for a go against 65% conversion rate for bettors.

Seattle vs. Los Angeles, 08/24/2019 22:00 EDT

Money Line: -145 Seattle

Sportsbook: SportsBetting

This is a Free NFLX play on Seattle.

Pete Carroll's pre-season record took a hit last season when the Seahawks went 0-4, and Seattle came up just short in a loss to Minnesota last week. The Seahawks starters looked pretty good though, and they should see a lot more time here in the third game of the pre-season. The Seahawks have won six of nine Week 3 pre-season games under Pete Carroll. The Chargers are just 3-7 in the pre-season under Anthony Lynn, and given the injury to safety Derwin James we should expect coach Lynn to be particularly cautious with his starters for the remainder of the pre-season.

Take SEA.
